Defesa da Fé – De todas as gafes históricas, qual a que mais incomoda as Testemunhas de Jeová?

William – Eu poderia chamar de grande gafe histórica a mudança relacionada com a “geração de 1914”. Durante muitas décadas, livros e revistas afirmaram taxativamente que o fim do mundo viria antes de a geração dos que viveram em 1914 morressem. Em 1995, tiveram de abolir este ensino. Alguns anciãos chegaram a comentar isso comigo. Foi como se o fim do mundo tivesse sido adiado. Os adeptos que esperavam não morrer ficaram muito decepcionados. Como se trata de algo recente, mencionar esse fato é um grande incômodo para elas.
